Jeans, tee, and cardigan

Shirt: Torrid (spring 2005)
Sweater: Target (fall 2011)
Pants: Right Fit, Lane Bryant (fall 2011)
Shoes: Style & Co, Macy’s (fall 2010)

Who’s got two thumbs and is wearing pants? This guy.

This is the first time I’m wearing pants—jeans, even!—in I-don’t-know-how-long. I figured if we were going to be staying in an old converted barn in the woods in rural upstate New York, it was only fitting to pack the jeans. Sunday was a lovely day that was spent in Tivoli, drinking coffee, fondling yarn, and smelling musty old books. It started raining by early evening, but the afternoon was just right.

I still don’t like pants. These are the Right Fit jeans from Lane Bryant, and while they do fit better than most pants, they are still not perfect. I needed to go up one size in order to fit my wide thighs, making the waist and hips a bit loose. By the end of the day, the jeans were dragging in the crotch area, and I kept having to hitch the waistband up, almost under my boobs. This week, it’s back to skirts!

Oh, pants can be such a pain–I don’t think I have one lady friend who doesn’t find it a nuisance to shop for them because fitting can be such an issue. Yours look good–I hope you find the perfect pair in the future.
