Last Sunday was Easter, and while I don’t religiously celebrate the holiday, I do like to observe it as the unofficial start of spring. On this day, I put on a pretty dress and took myself out to a brunch filled with donut holes, eggs, vegetables, fried potatoes, cupcakes… and three glasses of wine, one to complement each course of the meal.
I bought this dress to wear to a friend’s autumn wedding, outdoors at an arboretum, but it is equally fashionable for a beautiful spring Easter Sunday, and it pairs perfectly with my hand-knit cardigan! (I am wearing the heck out of this cardigan before the weather turns too warm for it.) Vintage accessories complete the look.
These shoes were also worn with the dress for the wedding, and while they are great for walking around at a wedding, they were not so great for walking over a mile and a half downtown. My heels are still recovering from the blisters. Oh, lesson learned!
