This is my ugly dress. I was shopping with a friend just after we’d received our income tax refund checks; her take-home pile was significantly larger than mine, although mine did include this amazingly ugly dress. I spied it in the store and thought, “Wow! That pattern sure is ugly!” and she told me to try it on anyway, just to see. I fell in love with it. However, I’ve never been daring enough to wear it anywhere without the cami, especially never to work without one!

I opted out of a necklace, because I figured the pattern on the dress was enough. I should wear these earrings more; I love dangly, hanging earrings. I remember buying these to wear with another, low-cut outfit. That shirt may still be packed away somewhere.

I have a great pair of shiny maroon Sofft pumps that I like to wear with this dress on date nights and to parties, but for work I wanted to match up the knee-high boots I’d finally found. For years, I’d been hoping to pair this dress with boots. The results didn’t disappoint me!
